DAY 34 06032010- Final Project Presentation; last day of school! :D

Waited for so long finally today is the final Project Presentation in Wu Han! Woke up early today and get prepared. Shall hope that nothing goes wrong while presenting! :D

Went to class and sat in groups. Draw lots again and we were the second team to present again! Pure luck! Everything goes smoothly and Miss Neo complimented the all groups as all of us did so much better than the Interim presentation! (Y) We reap what we sow! Sacrificing all our sleep in exchange of good grades definitely worth it! :DD We are just left with some amendments of the report and submission!

After presentation, we rushed to the canteen to have our last lunch there; fried rice. Although we do not have much time to eat as after we settle down with our food, its already 12.45pm, but we don't care since it's our last time :D
Last pictures of us, fried rice and the canteen.

After lunch, we proceed to 江汉路 once again! Sometimes i also wonder why we always went there; perhaps is the people or should it be the shopping? :/ Walked around and i realized that i don't have anything to buy there :x
We went Wal-Mart next as we wanted to buy some local products for our family and relatives :D Each of us took a trolley, exaggerating right?
We took the stuff like it's free and in no time, our trolley are filled with the local products and POCKY! Seems like Singapore is going to face a starvation!
Had a bill of 297.30RMB; lesser than i expected because i took out quite a lot of stuffs from my trolley :/ Hazel spent the most, around 380RMB. We went to a counter near the exit and have our stuff packed into boxes.

All of us entered Wal-Mart empty-handed, but left with carton of box on hand when we left. (Y) We realized that it will be difficult for us to walk 步行街 with a bulky box with us and Wal-Mart burned deep holes in our pocket! We decided to end our day here while the guys will continue their shopping there. We took a cab back to the hostel. Slept till around 10pm and was blogging now :p Ciao~

Overall, i am really glad that the final presentation in Wuhan is over. I can see that all my group members really put a lot of effort and time in this project, everyone sacrifices their sleep and time to produce such a good work. GOOD JOB ALL! :D This project not only build up our team spirit, but also our friendship! Today is the last presentation in Wuhan and it's the last time we will be going to block 4 for our lessons. I guess i will miss the classroom here, the teachers here, not forgetting the time all of us studying together, acting out the play in the little warm classroom. Cheers :D

DAY 33 05042010- Preparation for Final Project!

Another day of lesson. Miss Neo had covered all the lectures, and so today, we did some past year papers; Project Management 2009. The paper was alright as i managed to do most of them. But Miss Neo said that our examination paper might not be as easy as this :/ Had to do some early revision! After the whole class complete the paper, teacher go through the paper with us, spotting the questions where mistakes are commonly made by students. Supposingly, we had to return in the noon to complete another past year paper; Project Management 2010. But majority of them, which included us, wanted to spend our afternoon doing the last minute touch up of our project. Of course Miss Neo allowed! Thank you! :D

After which, we went for lunch and once again, replenish our little snack box! We did project for the whole day, from noon till dinner time. We only manage to rest during dinner time, which is around 8 plus. After that, we continue with our project. Done the video by 3am and the final touch up of the report by SH around 4-5am i guess, because i fell asleep while doing my script :/ Shall endure for just few more hours before we are free ! :D Nights people~

DAY 32 04042010- HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAN SI HAO!

It's past 12 midnight! Happy Birthday my leader, Tan Si Hao! Went down at 11.58pm. Fathullah opened the door and the rest of them are hiding inside the toilet! What a face when TSH saw all of them coming out from the toilet, with a birthday cake on hand, singing the birthday song~ I think he purely think that we are doing project :D

The local students made him a clay holder and burned a disc of them singing 朋友 by 周華健. They also sang LIVE for him. I bet he was touched!

Cake smashing time!

Of course we also did prepare present for him! Cute isn't it? :D

Happy 18th Birthday Tan Si Hao! Hope you enjoy it in Wuhan okays! :D
After the celebration, we continued doing our project. Sigh, the project seems like taking forever. Did project Gantt Chart and WBS. I can't figure out the cost crashing, so i intend to do it tomorrow :/

Wanted to wake up at 9plus to continue some project, but ended up sleeping till 11.15am :/ Washed up and of course project time again! Pathetic right TSH, fancy doing project on your birthday! Did cost crashing ! We only have 3 iterations, so it was done in no time! :D

Decided to go shopping again. Went to 江汉路 again, but this time we did our shopping at 步行街, which look similar to 女人街 in Hong Kong. We reached there in the evening and the shops are alredy opened. People started to fill the streets. Pushing and knocking onto other people are common. You can find anything there! Both the variety and the price had won the shopping malls (Y). We wanted to buy some local products from the nearby Wal-mart, but it was already past 8pm; and most of us are not done with our shopping, especially the guys. I bet at that time, we only covered half the 步行街.

The guys asked us to go back on our own as they are not done yet. So we bought MacDonald's and went to flag for cab. There are no cab in sight! So, we decided to split up, one on the opposite side; we saw the guys flagging for cab too! This shows how long we girls have been waiting for cab! Lady luck was on the guy's side and they managed to hire a bread van. Still, the seven of us went back together!Back the hostel quite late and we quickly had our dinner before it's project time! Did our project till late night again. Perhaps teacher should give everybody good grades as all the groups have sacrifices their sleep for projects! (Y)

Overall, although there are still a lot of people at night in the streets of Wu Han, it is still very dangerous. Like for our case, when we were waiting for cab, there are many illegal vehicles approaching us, asking us if we wanted to take a ride. Although it might be their way to do the business, but it's a little scary though. You will never know where they send you too!

DAY 31 03042010- Museum, Picnic at Dong Hu and YES I DO~

It is a Saturday, but we still have to meet at 8.30am for the Museum visit and the Dong Hu trip!
We are suppose to wake up at 6.30am to prepare the food for picnic, but we overslept till Hazel called us! Washed up quickly and went over to the girls' room and prepare the food. We made egg sandwiches and sausages! Surprisingly, we made the food with just merely spoons, boiler and paper bowls! :D
We were once late again due to all the preparation and had to pay the fine again :/ But luckily, Si Hao helped us to pay half of it! Thanks! :D

First, we went to the museum, which i saw previously, many people are queuing to get in. Excited to go in as i really like visiting museums! :D The bus journey was quite a long one and we reached the museum around 9.30am. We are not suppose to bring in any liquefied stuff, which i am not sure why. At the entrance, there are several securities and a checkpoint, checking our belongings. I wonder did we went to the airport or museum!
Explore the museum and went to several sections, the museum is huge! But we were only given one and a half hours, obviously, i think there is insufficient time for me to explore the entire museum ): We only managed to walked around the second level of the museum, leaving the third level untouched:/ I just wish that we can have more time in the museum!
Some of the pictures in the museum (:

Took some photos while waiting for other people to gather.

After which, we proceed to 东湖, which is only a five minutes bus ride from the museum. Excited too! Picnic just rocks! i remember the last picnic i have with my friends was like last year at East Coast Park! :D Everybody came prepared. We laid our mat and started to spread our food and tidbits. After which, everybody started eating. The sandwiches and sausages are delicious! Good job girls! :D

Sat down , eat and chat for about one hour, we packed our things and decided to tour around. We are told not to play or touch any water activities as it is very dangerous. I don't really intend to because i can't swim :/
We saw a mini theme park there and decided to play some of the games there. But before that, the three guys saw go-kart and wanted to play. One round around the track cost 10 RMB. Look how happy they are !
Eline and i bought a wind mill each. Pretty right!
Took some of the rides, played some games and took some pictures in the park.

Time pass super fast! We will sure be late if we walked back, so in order not to pay the fine again, all of us ran to the entrance and met up with the rest. Tired :/

A picture with our tour guide! Thanks for touring us around for all the attractions! Btw, her name is Candy if i am not wrong :D
Reached our hostel at around 2.30pm. Discussed what to do for the rest of the day. Si Hao said that he wanted to change his hairstyle, so all of us decided to change our hairstyle too! Took the bread van and went to 光谷. Searched for the salon for some time, and decided to call Mei Xiu to reconfirm the location. Finally found it! The salon YES I DO, 椰岛造型.

This is the first time i saw a salon that look so grand! Even Jean Yip in Singapore don't look so grand! There are also a lot of hairdressers and hair stylist too! The shop was filled with customers and we have to share seats with other people. Perhaps the salon do not want to lose any customer due to the insufficient seats there. Hazel and i was hesitating whether to perm our hair as both of us have the same problem; we were afraid that we will regret :/ But due to the price there, we decided to give a try!

Not only the salon looks beautiful and grand, the hair stylist look quite handsome too! :D The hairstylist that helped me cut and style my hair has a cool attitude! There is also one assistant assisting him. We spent 4 hours in that salon! By the time we left, it like around 9pm already. Our makeover :DD

We bought our dinner from the back street, collected the cake and back to hostel. Did some planning for Tan Si Hao because it's his birthday in less than 2 hours! We met up with the local students at Eline's room and discuss what we going to do later. Alright, i have to do my part by asking SH to stay in my room and do project! Update again! :D

Overall, time pass super fast especially when we are enjoying ourselves; the museum and Dong Hu trip :D This are also the last attractions we will be going as a class, and we will be on our own till the day we go back to Singapore.

DAY 30 02042010 - Visit to Coca Cola factory~

It is the first time we had our industrial visit so early! It is even earlier than our usual lesson timing. We are supposed to meet at our study block at 8.30am, but the four of us were late due to some issues we have to settle in the morning. We also bought breakfast on the way and had to pay the fine of 10 RMB :( The bus journey to Coca-cola factory took an hour, so we took a short nap in bus.

We took some pictures before entering the factory.

The factory look kind of empty when we first entered. It seems like it is a public holiday with no workers. A short video clip were shown to us, regarding the history of Coca-Cola, following by a mini quiz.
Next, we went to the gallery and the person-in-charge talk to us more about their company.
The main purpose of this Coca-Cola trip was suppose to show us how they are manufactured, bottled and packaged. But what we got to see was the workers cleaning up the machineries. Wonderful isn't it?

We then left for the exhibition hall which showcased all the coca-cola stuffs.

Pretty isn't it? :D
After taking some group pictures and exploring around, we left the place. But before leaving, someone said that there is free coca-cola. So some of us ran back and took one each, some took more than one! Funny~
When we reached back to school, it is only 12pm, so we decided to stay in our hostel and do whatever that are needed to be done. Blog, project and of course rest! We took a last group photo before dismiss.
We bought our lunch from the back street as usual and watched our drama! Doing project later! Ciao~

Overall, i think this trip is not a very fruitful one as we did not manage to see the full processing or manufacturing of Coca-cola. It really dampen our mood when we saw the workers cleaning the machineries. But it is still great that we can enter the factory and the working areas, as not all people are entitled with this opportunity.
